"God's grace cannot be faithfully preached to unbelievers until His Law is preached and man's corrupt nature is exposed. It is impossible for person to fully realize his needs for God's grace until he sees how terribly he has failed the standards of God's Law. It is impossible for him to realize his need for mercy until he realizes the magnitude of his guilt."
John MacArthur
"Jesus paid it all, all to him i owe"

So i watched a clip from "Les Miserables" tonight and it reminded me of this kind of.
There was this crook who came to this monk's house. The monk, kind guy that he was, took him in to have dinner and stay the night. The crook ended up stealing the monk's silver that night and got caught. The crook ran away, but a couple of days later the authorities brought the crook back to the monk's house so that he could be pronounced guilty. The crook lied to the police and told them that the monk said that he could have the silverware. When the monk heard this he told the police, "Of course i told him to have the silver. And actually, he forgot the candlesticks." The crook was pronounced innocent because of the monk's lie.
I thought that was awesome because it shows how truth and love exposes our sin. It's not that God humiliates us by showing us how guilty we are, but the fact that He loves us so incredibly much in spite of our sin makes us feel unworthy. (In a good way of course though)

i loved this quote that you posted, can you tell? lol
